As part of NAIDOC Week celebrations, Shoalhaven Council is hosting its annual flag raising event at the Nowra Administration Building on Monday 6 July at 10:15am.

As we mark 50 Years of NAIDOC, this significant milestone is a tribute to the people who have built this movement — the Elders who stood firm, the organisers who made space, the artists who turned resistance into expression, and the communities who continue to show up, year after year.

The community is invited to attend the ceremony which will feature a Welcome to Country, traditional song and dance, raising of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags, followed by morning tea.
